Blog Vindolanda Field School

The KEW foundation sponsord a group of 10 students (accompanied by their Roman Archaeology Lecturer) to join the excavation on the site of the Roman fort at Vindolanda, for several weeks, alongside the Vindolanda team and other international students and volunteers. In this way these students with a keen interest in Roman frontier archaeologists were able to gain practical insights in excavation techniques and site circumstances in very different surroundings as they are used to in the Netherlands.

To document their experiences the student kept a blog.
