KEWF has decided to sponsor the 15th day of historic maritime archaeology in the Netherlands, also known as Glavimans Symposium. This conference, attended by professional as well as voluntary maritime archaeologists, mainly from The  Netherlands and Belgium was held at Lelystad in December 2023.

The conference aims to provide participants a yearly update on ongoing archaeological work on the North Sea and coastal waters. As this type of archaeological work is increasingly internationally orientated and archaeologists and divers involved are recruited from various countries around the North Sea the conference offers an excellent opportunity to encourage information exchange, share knowledge and cooperation. Papers presented at the conference will be published in the following year.
